I've been playing soccer since I was three. I live in Mount Vernon, a very small town in Washington. 4-5 days a week I travel 60 miles to go practice and play for my club team, Crossfire Premier ECNL, one of the top teams in the nation, because I'm committed to the game. Additionally, I have excellent grades, ending with a 3.86, because academics and my future success is equally important to me. I want to pursue a career in the Sports Medicine or related field. This past year I tore my meniscus playing soccer. I played 6 months or more with this injury until I finally had to have surgery. Fortunately my meniscus was completely repaired; however, the recovery process was challenging. Being away from the game for so long was hard, not getting playing time when I was recovering was difficult, but overall I came back with more determination than ever.
