Hello. I am Joe Chimelski. I believe I would be a valuable addition to any wrestling program because of my character. I do the right thing. I stay out of trouble and know the value of reaping the results of hard work. I feel if given a chance to compete in a college wrestling program, I can still improve further and that I have not yet reached my potential. This work ethic will be used to develop a team winning approach. Winning is addictive and I hope to spread the feeling amoung my team mates.
I was ranked 18th nationally by wrestling USA Magazine as a sophomore at 170 lbs.
I was ranked 25th nationally as a junior at 182 lbs. Then ranked 30th at 195 lbs.
I was ranked 29th nationally in Nov 2013 as a senior at 195 lbs, then ranked 28th in Feb 2014.

I won both the 2014 NH Division 1 Championship and the 2014 NH Meet of Champions ("All States" where all divisions compete for one champion). I won the New England Championship on March 7&8, 2014 for 195 lbs., finishing with a career record 157-17 with 108 pins. Counting National competition from 3 years at the NHSCA Nationals at Virginia beach, I am 164-24 with 111 pins.
I participated and went 5-0 with 3 pins at the 2013 Pop&Flo Lake Placid duals. In the 5 matches, I was unscored- upon.
I attended the 1000 Island duals Aug 3-4, 2013 in Clayton NY. I went 4-1, but the team won the 40-team tournament. Only loss (by decision) was to the 2014 NY State HS Division 2 Champ.
Although in Football Season, I participated (Sep 29, 2013) in the Journeyman Invitational Classic in Niskayuna NY, going 3-1. Only loss (by decision) was to same individual above, the 2014 NY State HS Division 2 Champ.
I hope to attend a college which will not only allow me to continue to improve my wrestling career, and build a winning team culture... but will also provide me the academic skills to succeed in life when I graduate.
