I am currently enrolled at El Dorado High school El Paso, Texas. I participate in the athletic program at El Dorado High school as a member of the volleyball team. As a Freshmen, I was moved up the Junior Varsity team and played all around from Outside Hitter to back row defense. In middle school I was nominated as the VIP for volleyball. In addition, I have played Club Volley ball since the age of eleven. Initially at the age of eleven, I began learning volleyball with the El Paso Diggers as a setter. A year later, I played with El Paso Synergy as a Outside Hitter and Libero. This year I changed over to a new club, Texas Optimal Power as an Outside Hitter. During the season with Texas Optimal Power we took silver at the Albuquerque Qualifier.
As a sophomore in high school, my immediate goals are to maintain a grade point average of 3.0 and above while I continue to play for El Dorado High school as an Outside Hitter. I was given opportunity to play varsity as back row defensive specialist but declined in order to play all around with junior varsity. I aspire to play varsity in my last two years at El Dorado. In addition, my ultimate aspiration would be able to attend an university that would allow me to obtain a degree in veterinarian while being able to participate in a volley ball program prior to graduating with a bachelors degree. My ultimate dream, the opportunity to play in an Olympic tournament for United States.
I have been told by various coaches that I have the heart or love for volleyball. What I do know, I enjoy playing volleyball and play any time I am given the opportunity to participate. I enjoy the camaraderie of team sports. I further enjoy, the challenge of continuously having to improve skills that a required in volleyball. I am a versatile player in the sport of volleyball. Even though, I am not tall, I have a 21 inch vertical and I am extremely quick on my feet., having many saves. Finally, my personality is easy going and able to get along with most people and I am able to take constructive criticism from my coaches.
