My name is Brianna Shafer, I am nineteen years old, and I currently attend Eastern Wyoming College in Wyoming State, as a Freshman. Although, I am originally from Washington State. I have been playing basketball since I could walk it feels like, but it all began in Kindergarten. I have always played three sports a year. To stay fit and make myself a well rounded athlete. I mostly played girls that are older than me. Until recently, I have just started focusing on basketball and improving my skills to move on to the next level. I played on an AAU team: Total Package. Having been on a select team had shown me there was a lot more competition out there other than just the girls I played in school league. It had helped me change my game to an Up-Tempo beat and be a lot more aggressive on the court. Now that I have had a little taste of college level basketball, it has changed a lot, and shown me how hard you have to work and how you have to make an impact in the game. I always try my best in the class room and give it all I have, as well as I do on the court. Being a Student before an Athlete is also important to me. In order to play, I must have the grades I am satisfied with. Playing at the college level is something I have always wanted to do, I am so grateful for the opportunity I have now, and hope to continue elsewhere. This has made me fight for what I want, and need in my future. Basketball has always been apart of my life and I would love to continue on. My passion and hard work for the game has made me a leader, dependable and aggressive athlete.
