Attending college is my ultimate goal. But, playing college softball has been a dream of mine since I was just a little girl, still learning the how to throw a ball. I'd watch all of the older girls and my eyes would light up with joy because I knew I could be like them one day. I'd take in every movement, every word, every everything they said to me. As I near the time when it's my turn to become the role model, I ask myself who I want to be seen as to those little girls. I want them and everyone else to see me as a joy to be around, as a girl who just wants to play, a girl whose love for the game trumps anything else. I want to play because we all have our 5 year old dreams still with us somewhere. I also want to show girls, as well as myself, the joy this sport can bring, and to show people that the game should ultimately be fun. I dream of playing college softball because I want to show myself what I have been working towards since I was 3 years old and why I have dedicated myself to one thing for so long. I want to show myself how rewarding hard work can be and play this game because it lights a fire, a passion inside of me. I want the opportunity to continue playing and learning about the sport I love.
I can bring to your team not only the physical necessities you might be looking for in a player, but also the mental aspect. I am a tall, but built 2021 graduate. As long as you tell me how to do something, I will do it; meaning, I am a very coachable player and am not afraid to try new things. I'm very good at taking directions and translating that into my playing. 9 times out of 10 you will find me with a smile on my face. I work with a positive attitude and a sort of confidence that helps me lead the team on and off the field. I try to be a role model to everyone and lead by my actions and my words.
I am looking for a program that can challenge me physically and mentally. I want a program that can give me competitiveness as well as a family-like environment. Most importantly I want a team that plays as a combined group. I have seen so many teams and even been on ones that don't know how to play as a combined group. I would like to play softball for a college that can give me the opportunity to grow and learn, as well as be myself. I want to be able to learn from the older, more experienced players, as well as teach the younger ones as I get older. I am trying to find a team that can understand me as a player and I want a program that I can have the best 4 years of my life in!
