Hello, my name is Cassie Matteson. I am 14 years old and a freshman at Mexico High School in Mexico, NY. I have been passionate about ball since I was five. Along with playing softball in school, I joined the CNY Monsters travel softball team when I was twelve and currently play now on the 16U team. My primary position is third base and my secondary position is shortstop. However, I have been a catcher and left fielder when needed. I am an all-around, adaptable teammate.
A little bit more about me...I am a cadet in the JROTC program at Mexico High School. I also take studio art where I can express myself through creativity. School sports include basketball and softball. "Go Tigers!" Outside of school, I love to be outdoors. I have a great group of friends and a wonderful family which means I have a great support team!
My goal once I graduate high school is to gain a softball scholarship for a college where I can study to become a veterinarian. I know that my hard work, determination and dedication will help me accomplish my goals not only after high school but my entire life.
