I am 5 feet 6 inches, 170lbs. Ever since the age of 5, I have devoted my life to the game of softball, specifically to pitching. I began playing organized travel softball at the age of ten branching out and beginning to attend and pitch in tournaments at the U14 level at the age of 11. Having always played above my age level and level of competition, has increased maturity level on and off the field. I have always strived to play to the next level in hopes of playing for a highly competitive school at the collegiate level.
I was the Pitch hit and run U14 champion at the age of 12 at Fenway Park, in Boston MA. I led my U-18 Cape Cod summer league as the starting pitcher to win the championship, at the age of 13, throwing a perfect game. Last month, I was sought out and requested to attend a practice of the 18U showcase team led by former Olympic Coach, Ralph Raymond. Ultimately I was accepted onto the team as one of two pitchers from New England. As a freshman in high school and already achieving my second year as starting varsity pitcher, I am beginning to watch my hard work pay off.
I am interested in going to school for PT, athletic training, sports medicine, or education. My educational goals are to obtain a bachelor degree and eventually moving on to an advanced degree program. I am looking for a school that will balance both my educational and athletic interests.
My strengths include my ability to motivate and inspire my teammates. I was taught to be a team leader. Keeping my head up during the game is very important. I believe the key to success is maintaining a positive attitude. I have great stamina on the mound, especially in a batters count. I am a power hitter.
