My name is Landon Adamo and I have been swimming competitively since I was 9 years old. I would like to swim at the next level and believe I can succeed at the college level if given the opportunity.
I am very driven and dedicated to my team and school. I received my varsity letters for our swim team and cross country which I am very proud of. This fall my team mates selected me as captain of our boys swim team as a sophomore. This is one of the greatest honors I can have and I will do everything I can to help my team get to State.
I've learned to be a leader and to be disciplined since a very early age. When I was little I had a very severe allergic attack that nearly took my life. I've learned to manage this through discipline and support from my family. At the beginning of my freshman year, I was diagnosed with celiac disease and I believe the skills I've developed has helped me adjust to this new challenge. I take these skills and approach on everything I do and especially with my teams. My dedication and determination helps me be successful for my team and my teammates.
I'm very active with other school activities such as an FCA Officer, Student Council Sophomore Senator, Sophomore Council, Native American Student Association, and Spanish Club. I'm also a very active leader for our youth group at church. I serve as a youth mentor for our VBS camps during the summer as well as for our Kids in Ministry activities throughout the year.
I believe I would be a valuable member of your team and I would hope to eventually be looked to as a good leader for younger athletes. Thank you for your consideration.
