My name is Peter Van Euwen, and I graduate from St. Ignatius High School in 2020. My goal is to play collegiate soccer at the highest level.
As a goalkeeper, I believe I stand out from the pack for a couple reasons. First, I match my effort on the field in the classroom, as shown by my 4.34 GPA. Second, I am a goalkeeper with the foot skills and distribution abilities of an outfield player. Having also played left back on my club team at a high level has allowed me to develop excellent footwork. Along with developing my ability to play with the ball at my feet, playing on the field has given me vision and a better understanding of the game. I can see attacks building up and instruct the defense according to what I see. One last quality I have is that I do my best in the biggest games, which I believe is due to my maturity on and off the field.
I would like to attend a school with a very good academic reputation and a competitive soccer program. After college, I would like to pursue a career involving sports in some way. I also would like to better my people skills in college. Ultimately, I want to be a good student and athlete, but an even better person.
