As the captain of the JV team my Freshman Year, I believe that this is when my leadership skills began to develop the most. This was transferred from the field and to my Sophomore year where I was selected for the YouthLeap Class of 2016, a multi-district wide group of students that take part in leadership activities while learning about the city of Pensacola. As the Captain of my club team this year, I have been given numerous positive remarks regarding my communication on the field. Just as importantly, I communicate off of the field; I review the match footage and discuss with my teammates what we did well and how we can improve.
I'm looking for a College experience that balances my academic needs with my athletic goals. Although I have lived in a small town my whole life, I am looking forward to experiencing a brand new setting with different people and new opportunities. I'm optimistic that my dedication to my studies paired with my athletic commitment will lead me on this path.
