My name is Jacob Cebula. I am currently attending Wausau West High school., as a freshman. I constantly strive to do the best I can in everything, I am a straight "A" student and I love the game of hockey. Almost everyday of the week I am doing something with hockey, whether it is on ice and off ice training. I have been playing hockey since I was 4 years old and started playing competitive AAA at the age of 8. I played for the Green Bay Jr. Gamblers as Pee Wee Major and Bantam Minor. Both years my team finished in the top 15 in the nation. This past fall I played for the U14 Team Wisconsin Team and currently ranked in the top 10. Between the Tier 1 schedule I play for my high school, as a freshman I am playing on both Junior Varsity and Varsity.
What I think that makes me a good defenseman is that I have good vision on the ice, knowing where I need to go before the play, and making the right passes. Also, I have a very good stick, and very good at poke checking. I have always been told by all the coaches that I have played for that I am very coachable. One thing that I am working hard on this year is to be more offensive and getting into rushes.
Thank you for reading my Personal Statement.
