I didn't grow up playing football. I started playing my freshman year of high school when my football/soccer coach saw that I could kick. Half way through the season I transitioned to football and was placed on varsity, but I was quickly moved down to start on JV to get game experience. Through dedication, commitment, and sacrifice the remainder of the 2016 season and the off season, I am now the starting varsity kicker/punter as a sophomore.
Being a dual sport athlete requires a lot of dedication and sacrifice. I am also a committed goalkeeper to a club soccer team. I play football on Friday nights, travel 5-6 hours across the state on Saturday, then play soccer on Sunday, and repeat it all the next week while still keeping a 3.5 GPA in Pre AP & AP classes. My academics are just as important to me as athletics and require the same dedication, sacrifice and commitment.
I would be a great addition to your program because I am coachable, respectful and I care about the success of the team. I am super excited to see what opportunities open up for me academically and athletically.
