My name is Christopher Ardito. I am a class of 2020 graduate from Guilderland High School in Guilderland, NY. I have been very active as an athlete all my life playing football, baseball, basketball, wrestling and lacrosse. I started football at 7 years old in Pop Warner and I quickly became passionate about the sport. While I will continue being a multi-sport athlete throughout high school, I take every opportunity to play in 7x7 and flag football leagues during the off season.
I have been voted captain by my teammates and coaches on my basketball, football and lacrosse teams. As a team player, I work hard to provide leadership and make everybody better around me. As a point guard in basketball and attack/midfield in lacrosse I have consistently led my teams in assists and take great pride in leading the team in hustle plays including defensive effort and ground balls. In football, I was voted most versatile player on my Freshman team. Over the course of the year I was the starting wide receiver, cornerback, punter, and kickoff/punt returner. When our quarterback was injured with 3 games left I stepped in at QB and led our team to 3 victories to end season.
As a sophomore, I was asked to play on the varsity team. I continued to play many roles. I was the starting punter, 2nd string wide receiver and cornerback, and played on special teams. I also shared kickoff and extra point duties with a upperclassmen teammate. I was also the QB for our scout team and I took great pride in helping get our starting defense ready for our opponents. With direction from great coaches, talented team members, and consistent hard work, I look forward to even greater success during my high school years. I pride myself on being a very coachable player. I am able to analyze my performance and look for constructive feedback from my coaches and peers. Hard work and dedication are key. Leading by example is a role that's important to me, as is supporting my teammates who often look to me for advice.
After graduation my goal is to attend a college or university, with a strong football program, that matches my academic and athletic ability. Playing football and team participation are key elements in what drives me to be successful. I doubt if I would be who I am today without them.
Thanks for reading my profile. I hope to hear from you.
