I began playing field hockey in my 7th grade year and have played club and school ever since. Becoming a member of the field hockey team, whether it was for Maine Styx or Gray-New Gloucester, has taught me many things about myself. It’s taught me to never give up and to give my all even in hard times. I am an all honors student and have always strived for my best in the classroom and on the field. I have always done my best to improve my game and stick skills while still maintaining good grades and a social life. I am a very committed field hockey player but relationships on the field are also very important to me. Looking towards playing field hockey in college, I would like to be on a team that will be like a family. I would also want to be on a team where I can learn new things to develop my game and challenge myself. Not only is having a good relationship and bond with the team important to me, but also with the coach. Having a coach who will push me to do my best not just in field hockey, but also academically is important. I view myself as a leader and hope to have a positive impact on the people around me. I hope to find a school where I can excel as a field hockey player with a great team while pursuing my dream of becoming a lawyer.
