I am currently a sophomore who will be graduating in the class of 2020. I am working hard in school and on the field to achieve my goal of playing college ball. I have always been a very athletic person since I was very young. My parents gave me many opportunities to play different sports. The sport that I have stuck with and have continued to play since t-ball has been baseball. Playing baseball has been one of my greatest joys in life. It has motivated me to do well in school as well. I have played every position since I was little, however, the one position that I have been focusing on for the past 5 years has been as a catcher. I have played on many teams throughout the years and have played for many coaches. At this time, I am currently playing for the Long Island Titans. I have learned a great deal from all of these experiences. I have also learned to be a good teammate and try to be a positive leader. I have recently been working with college coaches and a Double A catcher as well. When I'm not playing baseball, I am working hard in my classes and trying to get good grades. This year I am off to a good start and plan on improving as I go through my sophomore and junior year. When I am not playing baseball, I enjoy playing golf. I started playing not too long ago and was able to make the varsity team at my school. This year my coach was very pleased with my performance and I was chosen to play in all of this years matches.
At this time, I do not not have a preferred major. However, I have thought about possibly a career in culinary or education. This past summer, I worked as a counselor in our local summer camp program. I enjoyed working with the kids and teaching them different sports. I am also currently signed up to take a lifeguard course which will get me certified to be a lifeguard this upcoming summer. I am also looking into possibly signing up as a junior baseball umpire for this upcoming spring season which will depend on my schedule for my own school work and baseball training. I will be continuing to work hard to accomplish all my goals. I hope you will consider me as a candidate for your team. I'm a good listener and I learn things quickly. I am also a team player and will work hard to keep improving. I look forward to having an opportunity to hear from you and to perhaps one day play for your school.
