Amari Black '20 Recruiting Profile

    Hi, my name is Amari Black and I am 15years old. I will be turning 16 on October 4, 2018.  I currently attend Cass Technical High School, as an incoming 11th grader.  I have an average GPA of 3..  Over the last 3 years, I have grown as baseball player, student and young man.  As a freshman, I tried out and made the varsity baseball team at Cass Tech.  In the summer of 2016, the Detroit PAL team that I have been on since I was 8 years old made it to the championship game. We lost by 1 point!  I think baseball is the best sport in the world.  Why?  Because baseball comes easy to me.  It is like every time I get on the diamond, I feel like I'm at home.  Whenever I'm not on the diamond, I feel "homesick."  I have friends that say "oh you have to go to work."  Saying that baseball is work for me.  To me baseball is not work.  Work is not work when you love what you do.  And baseball is what I love to do.  I'm a 3 sport student athlete, but I fell in love with baseball from day one.  It's my passion!
