Attending college has always been a goal of mine. When I began to get good at wrestling I knew that I wanted to wrestle at the College level. There are several areas that I am interested in pursuing while in college, including a major in business. I have a high GPA in highschool, and strive to do the best each day to achieve my goal of getting a 3.7 GPA.
As a Freshman in High School I wrestled at 106 lb weight. I was 39-8 on varsity and was first team all conference. This year as a sophomore I have bigger and better things planned. From when I started out I knew the work ethic that I needed to put in, from then to now I believe that my work ethic is outmatched, and becasue of this I know that I have the ability to be the best and wrestling in college.
I believe that I am a good candidate for your team because I am a very hard worker, and dedicated to striving for my best. I have a really strong work ethic, and am constantly I wrestling year round - folkstyle, freestyle and greco. I have attended the Jordan Camp the last 2 off seasons. I also have worked with the Askren boys starting last year. Another thing that sets me apart from my competitors is when everyone is done with practice, I am in the weight room, watching wrestling film, and listening weekly to mental toughness videos to gain the edge over my opponents.
I have won the Wisconsin State Championship 7 times since I started wrestling. I just obtained another state championship on May 6 of 2017 in freestyle. Last year as a Cadet, I won the Triple Crown. I have also competed and placed in the last 2 Cliff Keen National tournaments. For Wisconsin's Freshman Class of 2020, I am ranked 7th overall in the state, I strive to get better each year and I am looking forward to wrestling in college at the highest level.
