Thomas Machal '12 Recruiting Profile

Hi my name is Thom Machal and im from Gretna High School in Nebraska. i have wrestled going on for 14 years now and will be a 4 year Varsity starter wrestler. I went in my freshman year at 205 and wrestled HWT the whole season and finished with 5 wins. My 10th grade year i had more drive and went 15-16 and placed 6th at Boystown invite and 4th at conference and made it to the tears round at districts where i got choked out on the mat and forced to forfeit the rest of the match. A step back to 8th grade year i was the powerhouse at 195 going 11 and 0 however my last meet i was forced to move up in weight to HWT and i placed 2nd in that meet. I have a 3.5 GPA and a member of National Honor Society and i plan on going to college and getting a degree in Accounting. I am a very hard worker and have the heart to drive me forward in everything not just wrestling. i have always loved the sport and have devoted my life to the sport for 14+ years. this year (2011) i moved up in weight to HWT in our EMC tourny and i placed 3rd where i pinned 3 kids and lost to 1. my last match that i won made it so we were able to win the whole tourny by 3pts
