My goal this year is to win an individual state championship. Last year I was tied at 1 – 1 in the third period of the Missouri State semi-finals. Unfortunately, I got taken down and lost the match. This year I am hungry to win an individual state championship and I have worked every day towards improving both physically and mentally as a wrestler. I would also like for our high school team to win the state championship once again in 2013 – 14. I can hardly wait for the season to start!
After high school, I am seeking a great college experience where I can lay the foundation for my future. I am excited about the prospect of becoming a college wrestler. I came into the sport late, as a freshman in high school, and I was physically a slow developer. I am improving tremendously with each experience on the mat. Rather than being burned out on the sport, I am extremely enthusiastic every time I have a chance to wrestle. Over the past two years, I've greatly improved my strength, conditioning, technique, and mental toughness and I would like to have the chance to see just how far I can go on the college level.
After college, I am considering the possibility of one day being a high school wrestling coach.
