The highlight video attached is at the AAU Scholastic Disney Duals in June 2016, me (blue and gray singlet) versus Indiana's 2016 State Runner-Up, Christian Mejia of Elkhart Memorial HS (him on Penn Extreme Gold team at Disney).
Wrestling is and always will be a big part of my life. Since I started wrestling, my goals have been huge. I have continually been marking each one of my goals off my list throughout the years of my career in the sport. For instance, wrestle over a 100 matches within a years time (multiple checks), State Qualifier (check), State placer (check), state champ (to come this season), and then of course stepping up to the next level by wrestling in college. I have college goals and after college goals relative to the sport of wrestling which I can share with you should you wish to contact me. I am excited to participate in college athletics because I am excited to be a part of a competitive team, with great workout partners, and to work hard for myself, my coach and my team. Along with this I can’t wait to start my academic journey in college. My goal is to become a Doctor in sports medicine which will be a lot of work to accomplish, however I know I can achieve it because of my work ethic and drive. I have won the hardest worker award three years in a row for my HS team and plan to win it a fourth. I am the Captain of my team (as a Junior and now as a Senior), am respected by my teammates (younger and older) and coaches, and play a big leadership role on my team, as well as in the classroom and for my school student body being a class board representative for the last two years. Wrestling has defined who I am, has sharpened my drive, dedication, and crafted my hard work ethics to succeed in all I do, and I am proud of that. Please take a look at some of the news articles posted on my family wrestling history, leadership, and success I have enjoyed in this sport of wrestling. Thank you for taking the time to read this and for considering me to be a part of your team, program and school.
Sincerely,
Marshall Craig V
