Sohrab Movahedi '13 Recruiting Profile

The idea of wrestling hit me when I was in 8th grade. I don't know why exactly I wanted to wrestle but I knew I was going to do it right when I entered high school. I tried out for wrestling the 3rd day of my first year in high school and fell in love with it. Ever since then I have not stopped wrestling. I can say that wrestling has truely changed the way I act and think. When I was a freshman I was that quiet guy that kept to himself and did not really socialize with anyone on the team. Now I am that guy that can't shutup unless the time calls for it. Wrestling has taught me that if you want to achieve something so badly you can achieve anything you want. I started out wrestling in 9th grade with no experience. Now since I want to win so badly and I'm willing to do anything to win, I am ranked second in the state of California and ranked 20th in the nation at 182s. Along with the desire to win, I have learned that wrestling teaches one to become a better person. It keeps people out of trouble and off the streets. Wrestling teaches discipline and turns boys into MEN. Now, because of wrestling everything else in life will be easy.
