Katherine Gerton '12 Recruiting Profile

Hi! My name is Katherine Gerton and I am a Junior at South County Secondary School. I am a 5'11" tall, 155 lbs, right handed opposite hitter. I am number 14 on my school and club teams. My standing reach is 7ft 9inches and my approach jump is 9ft 7inches. I began playing volleyball in middle school and have played for my school since freshman year. I began playing club volleyball when I was 14 at the Open and Club level. I played for the NV Premier 17 Select team last season and am playing for NVVA 18 I.C.E this season. I am a dedicated athlete and am committed to giving all I have to my team. I am a hard worker and a natural leader; I do everything I can to grow as an athlete as well as encourage my teammates to grow. I have a very steady personality and can always be counted on to follow through. I am open to any size or division school and have no specific regional preference for where I would attend school; I am able to attend whichever school fits for me. I would, however, like to attend a school that I highly academic. I do not know what I would specifically like to major in, but I am seriously considering Biomedical Engineering. My main academic interests are in the Maths and Sciences. I would love to play volleyball in college because I am dedicated to and love the game. I believe I could be an asset to any team and school.
