Lauren Stewart '16 Recruiting Profile

I am a driven, flexible, adaptable and highly coachable indoor and outdoor player. I have played multiple positions including libero/DS, setter, middle hitter, defensive specialist and right side hitter.  I am currently the starting setter/libero for my U-17 national elite travel club team (open division) based in Charlotte, North Carolina and have played club at this level for the past 4 years. This past fall, I played for my varsity team (4A division) as their setter and I have started all 3 years for my high school.  I was the varsity Team Captain, received the MVP Award (Most Valuable Player), was selected as an All Conference player (second year in a row) and was recently selected  for the 2014 All Lakes Second Team as a setter. I spent last summer playing sand volleyball and was selected and attended the Team USA High Performance (HP) Advanced Skills Camp at the U.S.A. Olympic Training Facility  in Chula Vista, California.  I was the overall tournament winner for the program (U-15 through U-19).  I also qualified and competed at the Carolina Region Junior Beach Tour Championships in Emerald Isle, North Carolina to close a 10 week summer sand program with many regional tournaments. My passion is  playing  volleyball and I live for the game.  My goal is to play indoor and sand volleyball in college and then in Europe.
