Sophie Meyers '18 Recruiting Profile

Dear Coaches, 

I am an aspiring student athlete who is a Junior attending North Andover High School located in North Andover, MA.  I am a conscience student athlete who understands the balance between studies and sports and I am fortunate enough to be living in a very supportive family atmosphere.  Since coming to high school I have been selected to play on the NAHS varsity basketball and volleyball two years in a row.  I am one of only four freshman girls to ever make the NAHS volleyball team as a freshman and in 2015 I was the starting middle hitter.  

I have a 3.5 GPA which I am constantly trying to improve and I recently enrolled into the DECA program to gain outside experiences and to broaden my horizons.  Academics are very important to me and I am an active participant in the classroom and I pride myself on being thorough and accurate on my studies.  Sports and team competition are also very important to me.  I feel that I am great teammate and because I have been playing competitive sports for a long while I am not shy about taking a leadership role on and off the court.  I work hard every day at practice, I attend one of the best training facilities in the northeast where I receive small group training by Walter Norton, Jr.  Bottomline - My coaches and teammates appreciate my efforts and leadership.  I plan on using my passion and abilities at the college level.  

My primary goal is to get accepted to the right college or university that will provide me the best opportunity to learn and grow as a person.  I am also 100% committed to playing competitive volleyball while attending college.  

I am in the early stages of understand which college or university will be a great match for my goals and aspirations.  During this exciting period I look forward to meeting many coaches and student athletes as well as visiting campuses.
