Megan Pettis '15 Recruiting Profile

My dreams are to get a college degree and study to be a Nurse Practitioner in the NICU. I would also like to continue to learn the values to be a leader on and off the court. My love for volleyball has never ended since I was in the second grade. I love this sport because it's the only thing I can do when I clear my mind and focus on how bad I want something. I have put my blood, sweat, and tears into this sport because my love for it is never ending. My coaches have helped me increase my skill level tremendously. I have the utmost respect and admiration for a coach that will push me so hard that you want to give up but at the end of the day you don't because they are helping you become better. My teammates have also helped my love grow. Nothing can replace stepping onto a court with five - eleven girls that want the same thing you do. To work togther to get a win. Although I love volleyball, it'd be nothing without my education. Grades always come first. I also would like to someday be a coach myself. To be able to pass along my love for a game that can bring you together as a team and show you so many life skills would be an absolute dream to add to my dream of a successful career.
