I am a hard working athlete and I am a leader on the court. Playing volleyball has not only shaped me as an athlete but has also helped me to grow as a person. I have never experienced more joy than being on the court and playing volleyball with some of my closest friends. I have learned to become mentally strong and to work hard not only for yourself but also for your team mates. I would love to continue playing volleyball in college. Not only is it a way to make new friends while playing the sport I love, but I could also benefit from the financial aid of a sports scholarship in order to pursue a degree in education.
My experiences in playing volleyball have helped me to learn important skills that I will use in the future such as my leadership skills. I am currently pursuing a degree in Elementary and Special Education. I have had the opportunity to work in several classrooms and enjoy helping kids. I also have coached many younger club teams and had very successful seasons. Teaching would allow me to make a difference in kids' lives and also could act as a gateway to coaching volleyball.
