Anisah el-Rhashid '11 Recruiting Profile

My name is Anisah el-Rhashid, I am 18 years old and I played 4 years of high school volleyball and 3 years of club volleyball. I am 5 foot 8 inches, and I weigh 125 pounds. I started playing volleyball in 9th grade and caught on to the game extremely quick, and I was moved up to varsity as a freshman. Important accomplishments as a high school volleyball player started in 9th grade when I made captain of varsity. In 10th grade I was also captain. 11th grade year was great for volleyball because I made all league Honorable Mention, and I remained captain. This year I made all league 2nd team despite having no wins as a team, and I was captain again. I can bring tenacity to a team, and a never give up attitude. My ideal college goals are to go to a smaller college, with a great law program and a good volleyball team. I would like to major in sociology or political science, and possibly minor in Spanish. It would be amazing to play D1; however, I believe that a realistic goal for me is a D2 or D3 school. I will be an asset to whatever team I play on and I look forward to playing college volleyball.
I am currently at a JC and I am looking for a 4 year university that I can settle at. This season I have improved my hitting and I am even more powerful than I was before. I am still very interested in setting and I am very open to any spot that I can be an asset.
