Hello, my name is Jordan Schumacher. I am currently attending Mesquite High School in Gilbert, Arizona. I will be graduating in 2017. I live with my parents Craig & Melissa, and my older brother Jack. I have been brought up in a Christian home and the most important things in my life are my relationship with Christ and my family.
I started playing volleyball at the age of 6, and I knew right away that the sport of volleyball would be my passion. My dream is to someday earn a college degree and play at the highest level of volleyball. In order to accomplish this goal, I realize it will take a lot of hard work and dedication.
I am a Six Rotation Outside Hitter looking for a program that can showcase all of my athletic abilities and skills. I started at a young age in the back row as a Defensive Specialist and made a transition to the Outside Hitter position as I grew. I am very confident in all my skills and feel I can impact your program immediately.
I am a player that is coachable. One of my strengths is my mental approach to the game. I enjoy competition and want to be challenged at the highest level so I can gain experience for the future and implement strategies that will not only benefit my performance but help the team win! I am flexible to play anywhere in the country.
By the end of my senior year in high school, I will have played eight years of club volleyball and four years of varsity competition. I will be competing in my fifth straight JR Nationals this summer along with other regional and local tournaments.
I work very hard to excel in the class room. My weekly schedule consists of working out three times a week with my club team and keeping up with my academics. This has taught me to manage my time both academically and athletically. I will be looking for a school that has a strong academic advisory program that is interested in my academic success.
Thanks for giving me this opportunity to share my personal statement. Hopefully, you have me on your radar!
In Christ,
Jordan Schumacher
