Track and field is a huge part of my life. I have qualified for state in the 300 hurdles since 9th grade after hurdling for only two weeks. My junior year I was undefeated and won the AA Minnesota State title in the 300 hurdles with a time of 44.34. I have been the first leg of the Hopkins all time state record setting 4x400 team (3:51.26) for two years. I have been improving in the 100 meter hurdles placing 6th in state and running at Nike team nationals my junior year with a time of 15.29. I know like I have a lot of room for improvement and am hoping for more competition my senior year in the 300 hurdles so I can continue to improve and prepare for college. I am extremely hard working, determined, and love to be challenged. Every practice I am one of the first athletes on the track and always the last one to leave. I push myself and finish every workout with the best of my effort. I am a leader. I was captain of the varsity soccer team and was presented the coaches award for my hard work, leadership, and sacrifices for the team. I will also be a captain of the track team this spring. I am interested in competing at the highest level possible and am open to all locations. I am also very interested in trying new events and competing in the multi events.
