Amber Wentzloff '10 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Amber Nichole Wentzloff. I'm a 17 year old track loving girl! My height is 5'3, weight 118lbs, and I am a sprinter. I live with my mom Darlene, step dad Mike, and little brother Kyle. I go to Wheeling High School and have participated in track every year. I've been doing track since 6th grade. I've gone to state 3 times and am working hard to make it again. One of my more outstanding achievements was break the Wheeling High School record for the 4x100 relay. We all worked really hard all year on our speed, form, and hand offs and it definitely paid off. I would say my races would be the 4x100, 100m dash and the 200m dash because I keep improving my times each year. My coach and I believe I haven't reached my full potential yet. I believe if I can drop my times I could become D1 level athlete. Right now I'd say I'm a D2 level. This year as a senior I will be a team leader. Even when I wasn't the team leader I would still help and encourage peers around me to keep them going strong. I'd love to run at the college level and live one of my many dreams in life. I would like to be in a D2 level school for academics and athletics. The size of school really doesn't matter. I would love to run my freshman year of college and make an impact on the team. I'd like to help them succeed and improve myself.
