Meaghan Doherty '13 Recruiting Profile

My name is Meaghan Doherty, I am currently a Junior in high school! I am 5'3 and a 1/2 and I weigh 112 pounds. I have a fun and outgoing personality. I'd have to say that my greatest accomplishment freshman year was breaking two school records, as a freshman that's a really big deal. I broke the 100m breaststroke by about 11 seconds and the 200m by about 2 seconds. I think that it would be a great experience to play for a college swim team, it's actually my dream well besides making the Olympics of course! I think that I will be a good team leader because I love cheering for my teammates and helping others improve their stroke, I am very supportive of my teammates. I would like to go to school somewhere far, which would probably be in an environment like Florida because I have heard there are great schools that offer swimming. I think it would be a great experience for me to explore a new place in this world. I also would like to look at schools not to far away from home such as in MA and other places like Maine,Vermont,Rhode Island, Conneticut and New York. I want to go to a college that not only is good at sports but a school which is high in academics. I want to be a nurse when I get out of college because I love helping others and I want to help cancer patients because they are very inspiring and would make me feel better about myself by working with them. My goal is to succeed and make sectionals and states for high school sectionals and hopefully get a chance to swim for a college, thanks for taking your time out to read this, it is greatly appreciated.
