Ever since I started getting competitive with swimming, I have aspired to become one of the best. I know that swimming for a college team is a once in a lifetime opportunity that only a few get to experience, which is all the more reason I wish to make that happen for me.
I believe I have the times and the skill to succeed at the collegiate level. I am a hard worker and am willing to push myself to my limits, in swimming as well as school. At practice, I push myself as hard as possible in order to make the times I strive for. My coaches consider me very coachable and I have peers and teammates that respect me.
Currently, I am taking mostly Honors and AP courses and I work hard to maintain a high GPA throughout the year.Throughout the summer I volunteer at a few church camps and have participated in a Navy Swim camp two years in a row. During the summer of 2013, I went on a week long Missions trip to help rebuild houses down in West Virginia. This summer, I'm volunteering in an emergency room.
I want to attend a college where I will be challenged in the classroom as well as in the pool. I am open to all medical and science colleges and universities that are looking for a smart, hard-working, competitive swimmer. Ultimately, I am looking for the college that best fits me with the highest level of competition as possible.
