Kayla Clark '11 Recruiting Profile

My name is Kayla Clark and I live in Chino Hills, California. I started to swim competitively when I was 8 years old. I fell in love with swimming; it brought me friendships, experiences, and memories that I will never forget. Swimming also taught me a lot that I can use in daily life. It taught me hard work goes a long way; I know the importance of rising early, being on time, and seizing every opportunity. Studies don't come easy to me but the lessons I learned from swim helped me really to focus. Now swimming is helping me take the next step in my future. It is opening doors for me, if I can use my sport to help me achieve my goals it would be a blessing. My goals in college are to acquire a degree in nursing. I would like to help people in need and if swimming can provide opportunities for me to pursue that career, that would be very fulfilling.
