Sofia Menendez '16 Recruiting Profile

My name is Sofia A. Menendez and I from Puerto Rico. I am a 2016 graduate and a Goalkeeper. I attend Robinson School in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

I have been passionate about sports since a young age and due to my energetic and vivacious spirit I have been able to play different sports such as Outdoor and Indoor Soccer, Basketball, Volleyball, Track & Field and Golf. I have been able to excel in Outdoor and Indoor Soccer and Basketball. I have won the most prestigious award given to an Athlete at my high school such as: Physical Education Award Girls JV, (2012), Athlete of the Year JV (2013), Hawk Award Varsity (2014), and Outstanding Performance Award Varsity (2015). I have been MVP for various consecutive years on Soccer and Basketball.

I can't say I am so very different from others student athletes because all student athletes knows what it takes to be an athlete.  It takes sacrifice, determination, sportsmanship, leadership, motivation, good student, creativity, adaptability, hard work, flexibility and most important have fun in the process and learn to appreciate when you lose so you can be grateful once you win.

 I am considering studying athletic training, kinesiology, sports management or physician assistant.
