I love having team mates and learning the importance of teamwork. I am highly competitive and even with the toughest opponents I refuse to be pushed off the ball. My coaches have recognized my speed, strength, ability in the air and my never say die attitude. I can jump 22 inches in the air when I am not motivated and I have been told I can jump over 2 feet when properly motivated (that is mostly when there is a ball, in the air, by my head :) ). I also have a 7'6 foot standing long jump. I would love the opportunity to attend a great school and to do my best to contribute to a great soccer team. My name is Carter Merrigan, I am 17 years old and am in grade 12. In grade 9 I was awarded Most Promising Jr. Girls Athlete and in grade 10 I was awarded Jr. Female Athlete of the year. Academically I have been on the honour role. It has always been a goal of mine to play college soccer. I primarily play outside back but I can also play centre back, and outside mid. I have been playing club soccer since grade 4 and have been loving every minute of it. I love sports and have played on many teams including those in soccer, volleyball, field hockey and basketball.
