Personal Statement

As an 8th grader i was forced with a big move. I was born and raised in New Orleans,Louisana and the summer before freshman year i moved to New Jersey. prior to high school i had been playing premire soccer since age 12. I played for CSA (Carrollton Soccer Association)since age 5. I also was selected for ODP at age 12 or 13. As freshman I made Varsity, i was not a started at first, but as the season progressed i ended up becoming a starter. My Sosphomore year i started as right/left foward. Our season wasnt too great, but i ended up making second team all county. Also i was moved alot to right mid-field when we needed speed on the wings. Right now we are near the end of my junior year season. We have had 2 ties both in double overtime against IHA and AHA. about 5 losses and 8 or 9 wins. I'm 5'4 around 115 lbs and i'm very quick and have alot of speed. Alot of people under estimate me because of my size, but i am very aggrassive and never back down no matter who my opponent is. if being aggrassive doesnt work i can always use my speed, which i use alot to my advantage. im very quick on the wings, and always there for the assist and goal. If i could describe myself in one word, i would say outgoing. I'm not a shy person at all, and not afraid to do anything. i'm very out spoken and i get that from my mother. If my friends could describe me in one word, they would say NOLA. thats a nickname i got my frshman year at Paramus Catholic. i wore New Orleans t-shirts to every practice just about every day. it was easier too on the field, because there was already a jamie on the team. they would desribe me as NOLA which stands for New Orleans, Louisana because i represent my home all the time. Its a part of me, and i always want to let people know that we are still here, and doing big things. Just because we had a disaster, doesnt mean we forgot where we came from. I love hearing people calling me Nola on the field because i feel like i always have a piece of home with me. Im looking to play at any D1 D2 or D3 team. I would love to go and play for a big school, by big school i mean in the size. by me being on the team i feel like i can bring alot of good qualities. from being a victium of Katrina i know never to give up. i can use that, and bring it to the team. Its always about who wants it more. i'm the type of person who gets everybody pumped up and hyped. No matter what the score is, i never give up. i give 110% and its a chain reaction. once one person gives it there all another person, and another person does. i could bring that to the team. Now, to play as a freshman i feel i will be a big impact on the team. my speed and skills can be used to help the team. my passing is very accurtate and i'm very good with setting everything up. Yes, i score but setting up the goal is just as an important. I feel i could help the team with that. Now, besides being a soccer player. i would like to major in Business. I want to become a human resources manager for a sports and entertaiment company. MY mom have been doing that for a long time, and have been wanting to do the same for as long as i can remember. So having a good busisness program is really important to me.
