Hello Coach,
My name is Savannah Stewart, I am writing to you to introduce myself and to ask you to consider me as a future prospect for your soccer program. I am completing my Senior year at Madison Ridgeland Academy a 5A private school in Madison, Mississippi. I will be ready to attend college in the fall of 2016.
First, my stats. I was born October 23, 1997. I stand 5' 6" and 150 pounds and a natural right footed player (but have a equally strong left). I began playing soccer at the YMCA at U8 and always migrated to the defensive side of the pitch. Despite having good speed and foot skills, at U10 I found my passion as a Goal Keeper. I have always participated at the highest level of soccer available in the Jackson Mississippi metro area and continue to play on State and National award winning teams.
My quickness, commanding presence in the goal, innate instinct, and fearless play helped lead my high school team to its first State Championship and my Club team to its first National Championship. I was voted Best Defensive Player two years running in 2012 and 2013, was voted All Conference Player in 2014 and 2015, was voted Team Captain for 2015, voted to the All-star team, and qas voted Most Valuable Player 2015.. For the past few months, I have been guest playing for Florida Krush Kraze U17 Black under Coach Hue Menzies. For four years I have participated in specific goal keeper training making myself technically sound and knowledgeable of the game, along with training 3 days weekly on strength and agility.
My personal and team accomplishments that I am most proud of are winning the 2012 U.S. Club Soccer National Championship in a PK shootout; the 2012 High School State MAIS Championship in a PK shootout; being voted Best Defensive Player of the Year in 2012 and 2013; All Conference 2013-2015, Team Captain 2015, All-star team and Most Valuable a player 2015. I am no stranger to pressure in game winning situations.
I am a highly motivated athlete and think of myself as a team leader. I have good study habits and do not participate in questionable activities. I have great friendships with all my teammates and strong relationships with all of my coaches. My goal is to lead my team through tough times and lead the team to be successful both on the field and off.
I am very motivated to earn a scholarship and have been focused on maintaining a 3.5 or better grade point average. I currently have a 3.87. I have not decided on a major in college, but am working to increase by ACT scores by retaking the test in ajanuary 2016 and taking prep courses to gain an advantage and understanding to the test.
If you have, or are trying to build a top notch soccer program, and If you are interested in an extremely hardworking, committed athlete and student then I would love to hear more about your University. I can promise you, you will always get my 100% both on and off the field.
Thanks for your interest.
Savannah Stewart
