Anna Perona '17 Recruiting Profile

I come from an athletic family in which sports have always been a big part of my life.  I have played competitive club soccer since 5th grade and have also competed in basketball, volleyball, field hockey, softball and even baseball (on boys teams).  In my junior year of high school,  I decided to focus on soccer because it is my strongest sport and also the sport I am most passionate about.  My 2015/2016 high school team was very competitive with several committed D1 athletes.  As a junior, I played behind a teammate in 2015/2016 who is now competing at the University of Iowa and I did not receive as much playing time as i would have liked.  I plan to take the starting forward position and I am extremely motivated.  I love competing and that is why I would like to continue my journey playing soccer in college.
