Madie Edwards '12 Recruiting Profile

I am a 5'6 offensive center midfielder from Crystal Lake, Illinois, and will graduate in 2012. I have 8 years of club soccer experience, right now, I play for the Chicago Magic North, and we qualified for Nationals this year during the Super Y League over the summer, and we finished 3rd, putting us 3rd in North America. Before the Magic, I played 2 seasons with Sockers FC Chicago a team ranked 5th in the state. As a freshman, I was the only one on varsity, and the only freshman to receive All-Conference honors that year. During my 2 years of high school soccer, I have started every game, and played almost all of them completely, and starting my junior year, I scored 3 goals in our season opener and am captain of the team. Ideally, I would like to attend a larger school, preferably more towards the south because I have family down that way. I would like to attend a school with an excellent educational system, one where I can major in therapy and nutrition. I would also like to attend a school where I can make a contribution early in my career in both school and soccer. I am a solid practice player. I understand the importance of practice and give 110% in every training session and game. I am a team player who loves a challenge. I will strive for any goal or dream I have, working hard to accomplish it. I have strong mental and physical capabilities, and am willing to do whatever it takes to accomplish whatever I set my mind to, and I will put the ball in the back of the net. I am fliexible and can play center mid, my main position, or forward, or outside mid.
