My name is Kathleen F. Nemeth and I love the sport of soccer. Soccer has been my passion since the first soccer ball touched my foot. I started playing soccer at the AYSO level in the 4th grade in Fallon, Nevada and have been playing ever since. I started practicing with high school teams when I was in the 7th grade and started playing on the high school spring club team at the end of that year. I played on the club team, Fallon Fury, with my two sisters up until my family and I moved to Northern Idaho the second half of my eighth grade year. My family and I moved to a small town called Orofino, which had a budding soccer program. During the spring of my eighth grade year,I played on the Orofino Lady Maniacs High School Spring Club team. This team became my family and with the help of my sisters and I ,the Orofino Lady Maniacs High School team has taken the 3A District title twice and gone in as the top seed to the District play-offs three times.
I am in my senior year of high school, I stand 5'7 and weigh 130 pounds. I have scored 80+ goals in high school, 26 so far this year and still have the second half of my senior season to go. I have been selected for the Coaches All-State Team twice and I was chosen as the MVP of our Inter Mountain League in my sophomore year. I have been one of Idaho's Top Scorers per IdahoSports.com not only the 3A division but of all divisions for the past three years. I am well on my way to being one of the state's top scorers for my senior season as well. It has been a privilege of mine to lead my team as a co-captain for two years and be able to help the younger players mature into outstanding players. As a captain I like to lead with my actions. My coaches always say that I shouldn't push the other girls too hard because not all of them take soccer as seriously as I do and will not work as hard as I do.
Throughout my Idaho high school career I have not been able to participate in club teams or ODP programs because of the travel time from our home and the problem of being the youngest of three active sisters. Nevertheless to stay in shape, I joined the track team my sophomore year and placed first in the District Championship in the Triple Jump and Long Jump and also was a State qualifier for the 4 by 400. The following year I qualified for State in the Triple and Long Jump again and was awarded 3rd place in the Long Jump at the State tournament with a jump of 16.25Ft.
Most athletes dream of playing their sport at the next level and it is my dream also. I work hard on the field and in the classroom I have maintained and excellent academic level in order to maximize my opportunities. I am ranked number one in my class with a 4.0 and scored a 27 on the ACT. At this time I on my way to being named this years only Valedictorian and intend to work hard to maintain this position. I am willing to look at any 4 year college or university with a good academic curriculum which offers a major in Pre-Med or Sports Medicine and a competitive soccer program. In return you will get a girl who will work hard on the field and during the off season, is a fierce competitor, and is willing to learn and grow. As you can see from my video I play the entire field both offense and defense and work hard to create opportunities to win. Let me show you how I can help your team win!
