I have always dreamed of attending a large university or a university in an urban setting. I'm very independent and I love to travel. I've traveled internationally since I was 13 years old. I also love competing in sports and being an athlete. I work hard at both academics and sports, and I'm committed to each of my endeavors.
My love of sports led me to compete first in swimming and then in rowing. I have a passion for both of these sports, which are complimentary to one another. I love competition and being a member of my teams. I've been fortunate to have tough, but caring and knowledgeable coaches. And I've made life-long friends on my teams, who have become like family members to me. I have an exceptionally strong work ethic and I love a challenge. Both rowing and swimming require long hours of practice and training, dedicated to technical, weight-training and endurance workouts. This type of training has become a way of life for me. And balancing school work with training is a necessity for any elite athlete. I believe that all of my experiences up until now have prepared me for my future in college as a Student-Athlete and I look forward to competing at the next level. I'm excited and ready to learn all that I can from my new coaches, and from my college professors alike. And I look forward to becoming a member of my new team, making new friends, and representing my college in the sport I love.
