Personal Statement

In college I hope to not only exceed as a student, but as a player and a leader. I hope to go into nursing, and I am sure that I want to play lacrosse in college. I don't care if my collegiate goals take me out of state or keep me in my home state of Colorado. I think that I would be a great addition to any team. I have a good attitude and I am willing to do the work to put my team at the top. I know when it is time to listen and I know when it is time to step up and be a leader. Every once and a while I might get off my game and can lose my head. Even if that happens it really doesn't take much to get back on top of my game. My athletic career has had many twists and turns. I have done many different sports and loved doing them all. I danced for a year, was a gymnast for a year, played baseball for almost four years, played volleyball for about four years, and ran track and cross country in middle school. I have been playing lacrosse for six years now and I can honestly say that it has been my favorite sport of all the ones I have tried. I am physically fit and I am determined to do my best during season. Like most girls I strive to be the best I can, at all times. I am good spirited, even on the bench, and am willing to work hard. I run during off season and try to keep up with other fitness routines. In my lacrosse career as a freshman I could average a 50% save ratio in goal. Sophomore year on varsity I was at a 40%. I don't just strive to be the best in athletics, but I also do in academics. I got straight A's all throughout elementary and middle school, and freshman year I ended with a 3.929 out of a 4.0.  Sophomore year ended with around a 3.5. I try my hardest in all of my classes and never slack off. In my freshman year I took two honors classes. Freshman year at Palmer Ridge High School does not offer Advanced Placement, or AP, classes, but sophomore year I took one. Junior year I took two plus an Organic and Bio Chemistry class. I plan on taking as many AP classes as I can in my high school career. I am trying to get ahead on the road to becoming a nurse by taking science and math electives. This shows how dedicated I am to this career path and that I want to be good at what I do. I have a lot of life experience for someone my age. My sister is going through her second battle with cancer, and it has been rough for the whole family. I trust my family and my faith will get us through this troubling time, and I know it will only make us all stronger. I thank you for all your time, and interest.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
