My name is Britteny Purcell and I am 17 years old. I was born in Canada, however have spent most of my life in the Caribbean. My father’s employer has relocated our family to Jamaica, Cayman Islands and most recently Puerto Rico. I have enjoyed the many traditions and experiences of each of these countries have made scores of friends along the way. I believe I have an outgoing personality and can easily adapt to unique and divers settings.
I am a senior at Baldwin School of Puerto Rico and a member of the National Honors Society. Throughout high school I have attained honors roll with distinction. My current GPA is 4.0
Over the past few years I have developed a passion for golf. I also enjoy team sports and played competitive softball before deciding last year to focus entirely on golf.
It would be a dream come true to be able to play in college. It is one of the few sports where the real challenge is against yourself and where you are constantly striving to improve from shot to shot. I am hoping to find a school in the Carolinas as I have been traveling there since I was very young. In many ways it feels like my second home. However, I am open to going anywhere within the United States as long as the college offers strong academic challenges and the opportunity to peruse my dream to play golf.
