Personal Statement

NCAA Eligibility Center #1301111036: D1, D2 certified eligible

I have two primary dreams. First, I would like to be a professional golfer on the LPGA while I am young. Afterwards, I would like to have a career as a paramedic or other health / sports related profession. My primary goal as a golfer is to make it to the LPGA. To get there, I know I will have to work hard and give it everything I have to improve. I want to improve my swing and be able to be so accurate that I have no doubt about where the ball is going. I want to enjoy every game and I want to be confident in tournaments so that I can have fun and perform well. As a health professional, I woud like to begin my career in the health sciences, specifically as a paramedic for a number of years, building up to a specialized field such as sports medicine (physiotherapy or sport psychology). I hit a 7-iron 145-150 yards, a driver 280 yards

My NCSA verified video is from Feb/2013 when I was playing at about a 10 handicap - I have improved a lot and currently am around a 1 handicap.

The way they look at, they’re due for a half-decent day. “The last time we had (OFSAA golf) here, oh my God, it was pouring the whole day here and it was freezing cold,” recalls national capital high school sports coordinator Laura Gillespie. “I don’t think we can honestly get any worse weather, so it’s got to be better this year.” And after yesterday’s rain and cold for the city golf championships at GreyHawk Golf Club, they really deserve some pleasure after so much pain. Earl of March’s Grace Howie and Redeemer Christian’s Philip Martin trudged through the poor weather in spectacular fashion, both recording 2-under par 70s to win their respective girls’ and boys’ titles. Howie, the defending city champion, will carry the national capital schools’ hopes into the one-day OFSAA tournament (day one is a practice round) at Loch March Golf & country Club, along with six other golfers including Louis-Riel’s Estée Deschamps, St. Joseph’s Dawn Turner and Earl of March’s Hailey Joseph – the podium finishers from the city championships. Martin will head to Belleville Oct. 11-13 for the OFSAA boys’ golf festival along with runner-up Michael Reaume of Franco-Cité and the Sir Robert Robert team of Lewis Miller, Aaron Hill, Ben Mellville and Chris Packman.
