Emily Keeler '16 Recruiting Profile

In order to achieve your goals big or small, you must be willing to put in the effort and hard work. My name is Emily Keeler, and I am currently a senior at Centennial High School where I am finishing my final varisty golf season. My dream is to be a student athlete playing collegiate level golf, while pursing my nursing degree. Everyday to ensure my dream comes true, I give 110% effort both academically and in my sport. 

Being a part of a team, I enjoy working together to ultimately achieve one goal, winning. Golf is a unique sport where one day you can be amazing and the next day you are struggling. I am the teammate who will be there to support you, pick you up on the days you struggle by pushing myself harder to post a great score. Also, I offer words of encouragement to help my teammates get through a tough day on the course. I will always encourage them to be the best that they can be. If that means my teammate needs to vent about their stressful round I will be there, or if they want to go out and get some serious work done on the course, I will most definitely be there! 

I have only played competitive golf for about 4 years now. In this short time, I have commited myself to many hours of practice, and set a laser focus to play college golf. I have set many short and long term goals, all reachable with my determination, perserverance, and hard work. Throughout countless hours of practice, training, and guidance from my coach, I have gained a better understanding of my skills and ability. With this knowledge I have seen increasing improvement as my scores are getting lower from month to month. I know I will never be perfect, but I will always remember results are EARNED. That is when I must dig deep and work that much harder. Whether its on the golf course or in the classroom, my full commitment is always present.
