Hello, my name is Klaudia G. Contreras I am a Sr. at Crystal City High School. I am getting ready to step into a phase of self responsibility. I've grown always having my parents on my side, enforcing good honest values and always looking up to God for all my needs and thanking him for my accomplishments. Academically I am in the top 10 percent and proud to be in the National Honor Society. As an athlete, I have always dedicated myself to the sport that I am involved in, whether it is Cross Country, Volleyball, Track, Softball and of course Basketball. During my four years of High School I've had to overcome a few obstacles, since Crystal City is a small rural town unknown to many people, I've had to go out and explore. I'm glad I had the opportunity to play select club ball 2 hours away from my home and I have to thank God and my parents for making it possible. I have learned to be independent and along the way I have been very fortunate to meet many people with the same dreams of mine as well as different ones. Playing ball has instilled in me a passion of giving myself to the game. I feel that when I am playing, I'm in another dimension. My object is to perform to the best of my ability and sometimes even beyond. When I play I leave it all on the court. I am a go getter up until the buzzer sounds at the end of the game, win or lose. My Sophomore year was a year of opening new doors to our high school because it was the first year in history that we won District Champions, although we lost in the first round, we knew we had accomplished something big. My Junior year, again we were District Champs, but this time we went on to win Bi-District and Area Champs, losing in the third round. That year was special. We had gone where no one had previously. This year, we ended up being second runner up, but went on to repeat last years accomplishments. Although we lost in the third round it seemed that I (we) had travel to a time of unbelief, because we knew that this would be the last time we would ever play as a team again. Although I was awarded many medals, trophies, plaques, MVP's, through out my 17 years, I did not do it all on my own, for I had four other players on my team helping me out. I am happy to say that I am still the same humble person that I was before. It has just made me stronger and eager to want to be more. One accomplishment that I would like to mention is that I was selected to play in the All Star TX ROUNDUP in Maypearl, Tx. I am happy to say that I am so excited and looking forward to it. I also want to mention that I train with I"m Possible/Heart Over Hight Trainer Ezequiel (EZ) Garcia. At the present, I am playing with San Antonio Unite Skills Academy. My strengths are English and Science. However, I am some what undecided to what I want to study in college. Two of my goals are to play college ball and leave with an education at hand. I am an A student and have been since I entered school. I have high hopes for myself, and with the will of God, I will succeed.
