Ava Battese '16 Recruiting Profile

When I graduate from high school, my main collegiate goal is attend a college where I can succeed both on the court and in the classroom. Although I am undecided on what I want to major in, I want to go somewhere that has a high student-athlete graduation rate. I know what it takes to be both a student and an athlete, and I'm willing to excel in both.

As a basketball player I focus on getting defensive stops and getting open on offense to make shots. I bring leadership, a competitive fire, and hard work to the game. No matter what, I always give it 110%. Everything I've achieved has been earned, not given. I believe I have what it takes to compete at the next level and I'm determined to achieve that goal. In a basketball program, I'm looking for emphasis on defense and teamwork. I think defense is an important part of the game and teamwork is essential if you want to win. Also, I want to go to a program that I not only could help win championships, but a program that helps me and turns me into a successful basketball player and well-rounded individual.
