I was fortunate enough to have parents that let my try everything when I was a small child including soccer, softball, gymnastics and even ballet. I first played basketball at the local rec center when I was in first grade. I dribbled down the court, made a basket, looked to the sideline at my parents and held up 1 finger. I did the same thing, looked at them and held up 2 fingers & so on. I have been hooked on the game ever since. I started playing AAU basketball with Dayton Lady Hoopstars when I was in 4th grade. I have passion for the game and a strong competitive streak. I feel that I am a very versatile player since I have played every position over the years. At summer basketball camp at Vanderbilt I was given single game best player award. I wish to play college basketball and further my career. I love playing the sport and there is nothing else I would rather do.
I cherish my basketball accolades. I earned a Varisty letter my freshman year in high scool. This AAU season I was part of Dayton Vipers National Championship team. This fall I was chosen as a regional Top 100 player by The Dabblet Report (jimdabbelt.wordpress.com). So far this school season I am the 2nd leading scorer and 12th in rebounds in the entire Southwestern Buckeye League (www.swblsports.com).
I am a good student and am in Advanced College Prep coursework at one of the top high schools in the state. In addition to basketball, I play volleyball and was JV team captain this year. I feel I am an easy going person and have gotten along well with most teammates through the years. Outside of school I am very involved in my church youth group and have gone on week long mission trips the past 3 summers.
