The future? As a high school semior I get a lot of questions about my future. Which college? Where? Major? And usually the basketball question. Will I play in college? I can’t imagine walking off the court in February (or March if we make the playoffs), knowing that I have played my last game representing an educational institution. For the past four plus years, basketball has been my passion. I love the game and the challenges it presents. I am competitive, both in the classroom and on the court. I have a great GPA and will graduate in the top 5% of my class. At 5’11”, 170 lbs., I am able to contribute to both my high school and AAU teams. I am at my best on the defensive end of the court but continue to work on my offensive skills. I worked hard over the summer on both my academics and athleticism. On the academic side, I worked on an online site to improve my SAT/ACT scores. To improve myself as a basketball player, I started a regular regime of running and working out with weights. By the time the season begins I should be considerably faster and stronger than I was last year.
I also need to start to focus on where I will be and what I will be doing after graduation in June 2015. I would love to be able to start answering all those questions with very definitive answers!
