Sierra Taylor '16 Recruiting Profile

My true passion is a love for the game of basketball. The highlight of my high school basketball career was winning a critical game against Rancocas Valley, a top seed in South Jersey in February 2014. I was able to contribute as leader on the court by encouraging my teammates to run plays while communicating well and encouraging everyone to do their best. I was fortunate to be the starting point guard of the girls’ varsity basketball team my freshman and sophomore year. I was even more humbled by the coach’s confidence in my abilities to lead on and off the court. Over the past two years I have learned a great deal about what it takes to be part of a team and more importantly what it takes to be a true leader.

I am searching for a program that will allow me to excel academically and athletically. Academics are extremely important to me and that is why I have maintained an excellent track record in school.  My character is reflective of a well-rounded student athlete who sets goals and works to complete them through hard work and tenacity. My teammates look to me for advice, direction and camaraderie. I can bring those qualities to your program and help it thrive by contributing a positive attitude to your environment.
